Gov. Lawton Chiles has been given the names of three people vying to fill the remaining term of Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court Judge Marsha Glisson.
Glisson, 55, died of liver failure Feb. 11 after suffering from pancreatic and liver cancer. Thirty-nine candidates sought to replace her.
A nine-member judicial commission has forwarded the names of Pinellas-Pasco prosecutor Douglas E. Crow, Pinellas County Judge Peter Ramsberger and Pasco County Judge William Sestak.
While Chiles is bound by law to select a replacement from the list, he can ask the commission for additional names.
