Pupil has minor injuries from bus-minivan crash

An elementary school pupil suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon when a school bus filled with children was hit from behind by a minivan, according to Pasco County Fire-Rescue. The accident occurred about 4 p.m. near the intersection of Nebraska Avenue and Rowan Road. The girl, whose age was not available, complained of back pain and was taken to Columbia New Port Richey Hospital as a precaution, officials said. Neither driver was injured. The school bus driver said she was preparing to stop and let off children when the accident happened. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.

A story Thursday mentioned that rapist Robert Hatcher founded a garbage business. That business was sold in 1974 and has changed hands a number of times since then. Hatcher has no involvement with the company now called Hatcher Disposal Inc.
