BOWLING: Steve Jaros held onto the lead despite losing to Mark Williams 246-237 in the position round in the PBA's Peoria Open. Jaros needs only to win one match today to take home the top prize of $18,000. Jaros felled 10,000 pins and averaged 226 for the 42 games.
GOLF: USF men were in eighth place at the University of Alabama Spring Invitational, and freshman Tele Wightman was in a three-way tie for first after 4-under par 68. FSU was tied for fifth, lead by George McNeill with 71. The FSU women's team led the Gamecock Classic in Columbia, S.C. Amy Bond shot par 71 to tie for fourth.
