Transitional home has lots of room

(ran HN, HH editions)

Brick pillars frame the entry to this 3,412-square-foot transitional-style two-story home. The steep pitched, hipped, shake roof and the horizontal wood siding add a contrasting texture to the brick accents.

The formal living room is entered through double doors and features a fireplace and formal dining room with French doors leading to a deck.

The kitchen includes an island with a cook top, walk-in pantry and corner sink facing corner windows for lots of light. The adjacent nook and family room have bay windows. To the right of the entry hall is a den and full bath, which enables the den to function as a fourth bedroom or guest room.

On the upper level, the master bedroom is entered through double doors and features the same bayed windows as the living room below. The dressing area has a double vanity, two separate closets, a spa tub and separate shower areas.

The two other bedrooms, each of which has a gable window, one to the front and one to the rear, have access to the bonus room over the garage. A full bath that includes a double vanity serves these two bedrooms. This plan is also available with a full daylight basement.

For building cost information, please contact your local building contractors. All plans are carefully designed and detailed to comply with the Uniform Building Code. Local building codes, if more stringent than the UBC, may require additional drawings or engineering which are the responsibility of the purchaser.
