HILLSBOROUGH OBITUARIES

DIAZ, ARMANDO M., 92, of Tampa, died Thursday (March 20, 1997) in Tampa. He was born in Key West and came here in 1913. He was a short-order cook at MacDill Air Force Base and a custodian at the People's Bank of Tampa. He was Catholic. Survivors include a daughter, Mary "Diaz" De La Paz, Dover; a son, Armando R., Tampa; a sister, Mary Garcia, New Port Richey; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. LARE, JENNIFER A., 36, of Tampa, died Friday (March 21, 1997) in Tampa. She was born in Birmingham, Ala., and came here from Birmingham in 1961. She was an administrative assistant for an insurance company. She was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Kent, Tampa; a son, Adam Austin, Tampa; and a brother, Stephen Waterman, Tampa. Mark III Family Funeral Home, Town 'N Country Chapel, Tampa.

LISTER, LOIS RUTH, 87, of Tampa, died Friday (March 21, 1997) at University Community Hospital. She was born in Greer, S.C., and came here from Asheville, N.C., in 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of East Chelsea Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, William, Okeechobee; a brother, Tandy Wilson, South Carolina; two sisters, Ida Moore, South Carolina, and Thelma Mattox, Brandon; four grandchildren; and eight grandchildren. LITTLE, JULIA ANN, 49, of Tampa, died Wednesday (March 19, 1997) in Tampa. She was born in Plainsfield, N.J., and came here from New Jersey in 1957. She was a secretary with the Urban Studio Association and a member of Seminole Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Melanie, Tampa; her mother, Ann Cummings, California; her stepmother, Mildred Smith, New Jersey; six brothers, David Smith, California, Joe Lane, Dover, Randy Smith, New Jersey, Craig Smith, Maryland, Edwin Lane, Tampa, and Alonzo Lane, Cocoa Beach; and five sisters, Susan Smith and Joann Reeder, both of California, Donna Lauf, Lutz, Karen Lane, Palm Beach, and Marsha Kiely, New Jersey. WARD, SADIE LOU, 85, of Riverview, died Friday (March 21, 1997) at Columbia Brandon Regional Medical Center. She was born in Lumber City, Ga., and came to Riverview from Gulfport two years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Gulfport Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Charles H., Gulfport; a daughter, Joyce W. Roberts, Riverview; a brother, Clifton May, Georgia; a sister, Louise Dixon, Georgia; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Stowers Funeral Home, Riverview.
