Four men accused of sex crimes against children all pleaded guilty to a host of criminal charges Monday in a Citrus County courtroom.
All four were scheduled to go to trial this week but reached last-minute plea agreements with the state attorney's office before jury selection was to begin.
Circuit Judge Michael Blackstone approved each plea agreement.
+ Gregory Parrott pleaded guilty to one felony count of committing a lewd and lascivious act on a child under the age of 16.
He received the longest sentence of the four offenders: 15 years in state prison.
Parrott, 46, of Homosassa, will not face probation on his release, though.
He was ordered to stay away from the then 14-year-old victim and her family, barred from contact with children and ordered to pay for his victim's counseling.
Parrott molested the victim in 1993, authorities say.
+ Robert Lee White II pleaded guilty to one felony count of lewd and lascivious assault on a child under the age of 16 and six misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
On the felony charge, the 39-year-old Inverness man was sentenced to six years and nine months in state prison and eight years and three months of strict probation. He will be classified as a sex offender in Florida.
On the misdemeanor charges, he received one year of probation for each count, to run consecutively with his felony probation.
White must also serve 100 hours of community service _ but not around children. He must pay for his own court-ordered counseling when he leaves prison. He is barred from contact with the 16-year-old victim, her family, and all children, and faces strict travel and curfew restrictions.
White will be allowed limited contact with his own son.
On June 25, 1996, authorities say, White served alcohol to six girls younger than 21 who were at a slumber party at his residence hosted by his live-in girlfriend's daughter.
The victim, then age 15, became sick and had to lie down in an adjacent bedroom, authorities say.
White entered the room, told the victim "he could make her feel better," authorities say, and molested her.
+ Ellsworth P. Landry pleaded guilty to two counts of felony lewd and lascivious assault on a child under the age of 16.
Landry, 53, of Inverness, was sentenced to more than 14 years in state prison, but 12 of those years are suspended.
He must also take medication that will render him impotent and submit to testing for sexually transmitted diseases. Classified as a sex offender in Florida, he was also sentenced to 13 years of strict probation and counseling.
He must remain 15 miles away from the victim, then age 9, and her family. He is barred from using alcohol and from any contact with children. He was also ordered to complete 200 hours of community service after his release from prison _ away from children.
Landry fondled the 9-year-old girl in July 1996, authorities say.
+ Ronald Lee Bass pleaded guilty to one felony count of committing a lewd and lascivious act in the presence of a child under the age of 16.
The 37-year-old Homosassa man was sentenced to six months in the county jail and five years of probation as a classified sex offender in Florida. He must perform eight hours of community service for each month he is on probation.
He faces strict travel and curfew restrictions and is barred from contact with the victim and other children.
Authorities say Bass exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl on Aug. 16, 1994, but did not assault her.
The names of all of the victims have been withheld by the Citrus Times because of the nature of the crimes.
