General contractor sentenced to 13{ years

A general contractor convicted on allegations of construction fraud was sentenced Monday to 13{ years in prison as a habitual felony offender.

Frank Longo, 37, was accused of taking more than $10,000 from a Tampa couple to complete an addition to their house, falsifying the required permits and not paying subcontractors between 1995 and 1996, according to prosecutor Craig Clendinen.

Longo, who had previously been charged with more than a dozen construction fraud related crimes, was also found to have violated his probation.
