OBITUARIES

BENNETT, MORTIE A., 88, of Homosassa, died Sunday (March 23, 1997) at home. Born in Xenia, Ill., he came here 21 years ago from Canton, Mich. He was a firefighter in Wayne County, Mich., and attended First United Methodist Church, Homosassa. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Wayne Lodge 112 and Harris Kehrer VFW Post 3323, both of Westland, Mich., and the Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Mary E. "Betty"; three sons, John, Onsted, Mich., Sandy, Christiansburg, Va., and Loren, Canton; a brother, Walter, Livonia, Mich.; two sisters, Bonnie Bower and Juanita Cory, both of Muscatine, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. BORYSKO, ANDREW, 82, of Spring Hill, died Saturday (March 22, 1997) at Columbia Regional Medical Center at Oak Hill. Born in New York City, he came here 19 years ago from Staten Island, N.Y. He was a retired water supply engineer for the New York City Board of Water Supply and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade, Spain, Sons of Norway Sun Viking Lodge 607 and the Flying Club, both of Spring Hill, and the American Federation of Civil Service Employees. Survivors include a brother, Emil, Bridgewater, N.J.; a sister, Katherine Hanold, Albuquerque, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews. National Cremation Society, Brooksville.

CONRAD, ALINA JOSEFA, 69, of Beverly Hills, died Sunday (March 23, 1997) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River. Born in Vienna, she came here three years ago from Cedar Key. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth E.; two daughters, Carolyn Roth, Citrus Springs, and Sonja Rockey, Lakeland; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. GONZALEZ, JOANNA G., 41, of Beverly Hills, died Sunday (March 23, 1997). Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here four years ago from Staten Island, N.Y. She was a psychiatric therapist and attended Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala. Survivors include a daughter, Kiamara M. Rodriguez, Beverly Hills; her father, Jose R., Puerto Rico; her mother and stepfather, Margarita Villafane and Daniel Fruchtman, Beverly Hills; a brother, Joseph R. GUILLOD, WILLIAM O., 94, of Cloverleaf, Brooksville, died Saturday (March 22, 1997) at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Born in Louisville, Ohio, he came here 22 years ago from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was a retired engineer for B.

F. Goodrich, Akron, Ohio, and attended the Methodist Church, Brooksville. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner, a member of the Scottish Rite and the High Twelve Club, Cloverleaf, and a Boy Scout leader in Cuyahoga Falls. Survivors include a companion, Jean Launi, Brooksville; a son, Richard, Rio Verde, Ariz.; a daughter, Joan Stahlfeld, Sun City, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. LEACOCK, STEVEN E., 38, of Brooksville, died Wednesday (March 19, 1997) at home. Born in Arlington, Va., he came here two years ago from Pinellas Park. He was the owner and operator of High Times Vehicle Recovery Service in Hernando County. Survivors include his wife, Julia; two sons, Scott Reed and Steven Jr., and a daughter, Mary, all of Brooksville; his parents, Bob and Janet, Pinellas Park; three brothers, David and Jimmy, both of Pinellas Park, and Michael, Largo; and two sisters, Doris Bronson and Ginny Williams, both of Pinellas Park. McNAMARA, EILEEN L., 78, of Brooksville, died Sunday (March 23, 1997) at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here 16 years ago from North Babylon, N.Y. She was a saleswoman for a department store and was Catholic. Survivors include her husband, Jack; two sons, John "Mac," Blue Point, N.Y., and Thomas, Islip, N.Y.; a daughter, Susan Allocco, Fountain Hills, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. MERRILL, RALPH, 71, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Saturday (March 22, 1997). Born in Greenfield, Iowa, he came here 10 years ago from Waukesha, Wis. He was a city crew worker for Brookfield, Wis., and was Protestant. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of Elks Lodge 2582 and the Brookridge Golf Association. Survivors include his wife, Violet; three daughters, Karen Sue Engel, Leesburg, Sherry Linne Guequierre, Whitewater, Wis., and JoEllen Merrill, Palmyra, Wis.; and five grandchildren. O'MALLEY, HILDEGARD M., 86, of Lecanto, died Saturday (March 22, 1997). Born in Germany, she came here 12 years ago from Harbert, Mich. She was a retired waitress and a Catholic. Survivors include two sons, Robert H. Pahlke, Lecanto, and Eric H. ROBINSON, MAUDIE E., 80, of Homosassa, died Friday (March 21, 1997). Born in Anniston, Ala., she came here four years ago from Miami. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lecanto. She was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, Miami. Survivors include her husband, Howard B.; two sons, Terry, Port St. Lucie, and William, Homosassa; two sisters, Myrtle Crouse, Carlsbad, N.M., and Eula Mae Rollins, Port St. Lucie; and two grandchildren.
