TECH STOCKS RALLY: Technology shares put on a stunning comeback Wednesday, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average and sending the Nasdaq Stock Market index to its biggest one-day gain in nearly six weeks.

TREASURY YIELDS RISE: Yields on 52-week Treasury bills and five-year Treasury notes rose in Wednesday's auction. The average discount rate on 52-week bills was 5.66 percent, up from 5.36 percent at the last auction on Feb. 27. The bills will carry an equivalent coupon interest rate of 6.00 percent. Sales totaled $13.8-billion out of bids of $62.6-billion. The high yield on five-year notes was 6.660 percent, up from 6.359 percent at the last auction on Feb. 26. The notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 6| percent. A total of $12.5-billion in notes was sold out of bids totaling $31.7-billion.
