Former Maple Leaf Gardens employee Gordon Stuckless was sentenced to two years in jail for abusing at least 24 boys at the arena and other sites from 1969 to 1988. Many of his victims were in the courtroom; some shouted the sentence was a joke. Prosecutors had recommended the maximum, 10 years.
Ontario Court Justice David Watt ordered Stuckless to remain on three years' probation after he completes his prison term and be treated with a drug that will inhibit his sexual drive during that time.
