Property appraiser to speak

Hillsborough County Property Appraiser Rob Turner will speak to the League of Women Voters, a non-partisan political organization, at a noon luncheon today. The FYI luncheon will be held at the Columbia Restaurant, 2117 Seventh Ave., Ybor City. The league works to expand citizen involvement in politics and improve government through advocacy and action. Information about the league will be available at the luncheon, which is open to the public. Cost is $12. For reservations, call Coralie Lang at 265-4273.


Pilot Club meets today

The Pilot Club of Tampa will host an informational meeting at 7 p.m. today at Piccadilly Restaurant in West Shore Plaza at West Shore and Kennedy boulevards. The mission of this international service club is to serve local communities to better the quality of life to those with brain-related disabilities. The organization sponsors a horse, MISTER MISTER, at the Bakus Equestrian Center, and members are filling Christmas stockings for the Salvation Army. Anyone interested in joining the club should call June Miller at 977-5181.
