Musicians invited

to join alumni band

Musicians unite!

Musicians are invited to join the Zephyrhills High School Alumni Band and Friends for rehearsals at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Zephyrhills High School band hall in preparation for the homecoming game Nov. 7.

The high school band will play during the first and second quarters of the game and the alumni band will play during the third and fourth quarters. Adult musicians are invited to attend whether or not they are graduates of Zephyrhills High.

Instruments will be provided to musicians who no longer own one. Woodwind, lower brass and percussion players especially are needed. High school band director C. Paul Steuart will conduct both rehearsals. Steuart will retire from his director's position in January.

Former majorettes are encouraged to bring their batons. Lois Ann Alston will be on hand to teach simple routines to accompany the band's selections.
