Chain reaction accident

Rescue workers pull Norman Moore, 58, of Tampa from the wreckage Thursday morning after a four-vehicle pileup on Interstate 275 near the Roosevelt Boulevard exit in Pinellas County. He was not seriously hurt. Michelle Fischetti, 18, of St. Petersburg, was cited for an improper lane change. The chain reaction started at 8:20 a.m. when Fischetti tried to change lanes on the exit ramp to Roosevelt, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. She hit the rear of a car stopped in traffic in the outside lane. As a result, Moore swerved to avoid Fischetti's Hyundai, but he lost control and was hit by the Hyundai before flipping over. The Hyundai returned to the inside lane and hit the side of another car.
