NOTES: Sunshine Speedway's most popular show, the School Bus Figure 8 race, is back tonight. The event is always either a sellout or a near-sellout. Arriving early is strongly advised to obtain a good seat. The number of buses has grown since it stopped being the School Bus Demolition Derby a few years ago, probably because attrition hasn't been taking as big a toll. By the end of the first lap, the buses should be bumper-to-bumper completely around the track, which means the very first pass through the intersection should involve a near-collision. After that, it just gets better. Lots of slamming and grinding through the corners as the buses lean on each other to gain an advantage. Those who don't normally go to the races should also make sure they watch the regular Street Stock Figure 8 race, which doesn't take up as much room on the track but goes much faster. A 50-lap Enduro race has been scheduled, but drivers must qualify in heat races for the main event. Also on the menu this week are Mini Stocks, Street Stocks, Oval Drags, and the visiting Legends. Late Models, the fastest class of cars, and Open Wheel Modifieds are not on the schedule but will be back the following week.
