This house plays all the angles

(ran HC)

An unusual floor plan and an angled garage make this 2,810-square-foot two-story home unusual. The double garage roof line is punctuated with twin dormers to balance the bayed dormer to the left of the entry. The exterior treatment is beveled wood siding and wood shake roof.

Double doors leads into a vaulted entry with a skylight. Straight ahead is a formal dining room, open to the upper floor and featuring a grand, open staircase and a gallery above.

To the right of the entry and through double doors is a study, which could also function as a main floor guest room. The angled hall between the study and dining areas leads to a full bath, a laundry that leads to the garage and, at the end, a breakfast nook.

Sliding glass doors lead from the nook to a covered breakfast patio. An eating bar separates the nook from the kitchen which is bayed to the rear. The kitchen leads to the family room, with sliding glass doors to a rear patio, a fireplace and French door leading into the formal living room or parlor. The parlor features a fireplace and vaulted ceiling with tall windows.

On the second floor, the open gallery has railing all around. A 325-square-foot bonus room at one end of the gallery has a vaulted ceiling. Next to the bonus room is a powder room and two bedrooms that share a full bath.

At the top of the stairs and to the left through double doors is the master bedroom suite. At one end is a fireplace and sitting area with corner storage. A walk-in closet has three walls of pole space and is adjacent to a separate dressing area with a bayed window filled with a spa tub, plus a shower and double vanity.

The daylight basement version adds 1,492 square feet on a lower level.
