The Jacksons were married Nov. 2, 1947, in Brooksville by Judge E.S. Mackenzie. It was a double wedding ceremony with Jackson's sister Rose and Charles Delamater at the home of Mrs. Gettys Keith.
Since retiring from the Hernando County Rock Cannery in 1987, Mrs. Jackson has spent her time volunteering at the Heritage Museum. After volunteering for eight years with the Hernando County Fair Association, Jackson has been helping his son, Hank, in his business ventures.
