It's a boondoggle, but that's a good thing

Olive Pickles weaves a "boondoggle" from sabal palm fronds Saturday at the Chinsegut Nature Center Pioneer Day. She said boondoggles are used as wall or door hangings and are believed to bring good luck. During the second annual event, there were also demonstrations of beeswax candle making, quilting and turpentine production. The day had folk music and re-enactors who showed what life was like at a pioneer hunting camp.
