Hudson-Bayonet Point Lions Club announces new slate of officers

The Hudson-Bayonet Point Lions Club has announced its new officers.

Michael Gavlinski will serve as president; James Kempton, first vice president; John Fiore, second vice president; Anthony Cordano, third vice president; Doris Mason, treasurer; and Ivan Amstutz, chaplain.

Appointed committees are the Clara Anderson Foundation: Harold Casey, Doris Mason, Christine Milacek and Bill Hatfield; Zone Chairman and Youth Outreach: John Fiore; Project Chairman: Raymond Bosch assisted by Robert Gray, Charles Davis and Bill Hatfield; Membership Committee: Al Jarvis; Sight Consideration: Lee Koumantares, Doris Mason and Harold Casey; and Publicity: Edna Jarvis.

Professor takes

charge of VETPAC

of Port Richey has been selected to serve as Florida State president of VETPAC (Florida Veterans Political Action Committee).

Jack Kinney, current state treasurer, will assume the office of vice president and treasurer.

Hollingsworth is a former chairman of the Pasco County Commission. He is an Army veteran and a professor of political science and history at Pasco Hernando Community College. Hollingsworth invites all registered voters to join VETPAC.

Kinney is a retired Navy master chief and is chairman of the Pasco County Veterans Memorial Fund.
