BECKWITH, EARL EUGENE, 65, of Citrus Hills, Inverness, died Sunday (Nov. 2, 1997) at home. Born in Adams, Mass., he came here nine years ago from Cumberland, R.I. He was a financial programer for the Sprague Electric Co., North Adams, Mass., a Navy veteran and was Episcopalian. Survivors include his wife, Rochelle Belisle Beckwith; a son, Steven, Greenville, S.C.; two daughters, Lisa Bazemore, Hernando, and Ann Lordan, Rochester, N.H.; a sister, Barbara Dupee, Cheshire, Mass.; and three grandchildren. CHRISTIAN, JOHN A., 80, of Brooksville, died Sunday (Nov. 2, 1997) at home. Born in Philadelphia, he came here nine years ago from Newportville, Pa. He was a retired tool and die maker for General Machine Products, Torrance, Pa., and a Catholic. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane; a son, John A. Jr., Nazareth, Pa.; two daughters, Ruth Ann Hill, Rock Island, Ill., and Cheryl D. Paddock, Sabattus, Maine; a brother, Martin, Perris, Calif.; a sister, Rose Feloi, Philadelphia; and eight grandchildren. Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville.

EMERY, CHARLES "CHUCK," 70, of Spring Hill, died Friday (Oct. 31, 1997) at home. Born in New Castle, Pa., he came here two years ago from Selkirk, N.Y. He was a retired school district business administrator and an Army Air Forces and Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons, Dr. Scott, Tampa, and Dr. Sanford, Cleveland; a brother, Wayne, Dallas; and six grandchildren. Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill.

FLANDERS, S. DIANE "DEE DEE," 51, of Homosassa, died Saturday (Nov. 1, 1997) at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born in Jacksonville, she spent most of her life in Florida. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Michael; a son, Kent, Homosassa; and a brother, Bennie McDowell Jr., St. Petersburg. Hooper Funeral Home and Crematory, Homosassa.

HALL, LORETTA JEANETTE, 86, of Citrus Springs, died Saturday (Nov. 1, 1997) at Brentwood Health Care Center, Lecanto. Born in Raber, Mich., she came here two years ago from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was a retired packer for Kellogg's Cereal Co., Battle Creek, Mich., and was a member of the Alaska Pioneers. Survivors include two sons, Richard Wierenga, Citrus Springs, and Wendell W. SMITH, ELEANOR N., 83, of Coventry, Conn., formerly of Cloverleaf Farms, Brooksville, died Friday (Oct. 31, 1997) at home. Born in Johnstown, N.Y., she moved to Coventry four months ago. She was a sales clerk and a Protestant. Survivors include a son, David, Coventry; a sister, Audrey Fairchild, Spring Hill; and four grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Brooksville.

STREKIS, GUSTAVE A., 79, of Brooksville, died Saturday (Nov. 1, 1997) at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he came here four years ago from Williamstown, N.J. He was a machine shop supervisor. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Margaret Schemeley, Franklinville, N.J., and Thoira Wright, Laurel, Del.; a sister, Emma Schemeley, Franklinville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. SWISHER, MINNIE LOU, 77, of Floral City, died Sunday (Nov. 2, 1997). Born in Vevay, Ind., she came here 11 years ago from Silver Spring, Md. She was a retired legal secretary for the Jackson and Campbell Law Firm and a member of the Hernando Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a Women's Army Corps veteran and a member of the WAC Veterans 78. Survivors include a son, Robert L., Maurertown, Va.; a stepdaughter, Cheri Mathews, Sterling Park, Va.; a sister, Ginny M.
