Two men were killed early Monday when their car was struck by a pickup truck in Thonotosassa, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
Donald Ishmael North, 29, of Thonotosassa, and his passenger, Frank James Eversoll Jr., 21, of New Port Richey, died at the scene, FHP spokesman Lt. Harry Mofield said.
North's 1990 Pontiac was hit by a 1989 Toyota pickup driven by Anthony Adrian Stuart, 33, of Seffner, after Stuart ran the stop sign at County Road 579 and Florence Road just before 6 a.m., Mofield said.
North's car was then struck a second time by a 1990 Ford pickup truck driven by Gary Cecil Jarvis Jr., 28, of Plant City, Mofield said.
Stuart's 5-year-old son, Anthony Adrian Stuart Jr., was thrown from their car. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he was in good condition Monday.
