Steven Powell has been named director of ticket sales for the Tampa Bay Mutiny. Mike Mossholder, who held that position, has been named director of corporate sales. Other promotions include J.C. Crouch to vice president, ticketing; Maria Rutkin to marketing manager; and Orlando Conguta to director of special events and Hispanic marketing.

Cassandra Patterson has joined Luckett and Farley, Architects, Engineers and Construction Managers Inc. as a part of its electrical group. Robin Johnson has joined the firm's administrative group.

New officers for the Florida Engineering Society, Tampa Bay Chapter, are as follows: Robert Holt, president; Kimberlee DeBosier, vice president; Carl Irwin, secretary; Jay Calhoun, treasurer; and Edward Ruark, past president.

Perry Jacobsen will serve as an investment representative for the new office in Temple Terrace of Edward Jones, international investment firm.

Edward LaRose, an attorney with Trenam, Kemkar, Scharf, Barkin, Frye, O'Neill and Mullis, and Kevin Teismann, vice president of ethics, compliance and internal audit for Primex Technologies Inc., have been elected to the advisory board of the Center for Ethics at the University of Tampa.

Sophia Cornet and Dennis Johnson have opened Design Plus Studios, a full-service graphic design firm. They bring 15 years of experience to the business and will provide clients with graphic design, advertising and state of the art Web site development.

New officers for the Palma Ceia Merchants Association are Ashley Mosley, president; Michael Murphy, vice president; Charlene Cooper, secretary; and Kelly Scotson treasurer. Paul Willies has been appointed marketing director for the association.

Timothy Gardner has joined ad agency Peak Barr Petralia Biety as manager of accounting and administration. He has a degree in business administration/data processing management from the University of Tampa.

Sean Annesley, Lori Hamill, Alex Greengold, Glory McGinty and Sue Dai have been appointed new account executives for St. Augustine Health Care. Annesley is responsible for direct business sales of the company's business product in North Tampa. He earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Lynchburg College. Hamill is responsible for direct business sales of the company's commercial product in South Tampa. Greengold is responsible for direct business sales to large corporations in the Tampa Bay area. He earned a bachelor's degree in communications and political science from Florida State University. McGinty is responsible for small group business sales and broker education. She earned an associate's degree in paralegal studies at Tampa College. Dai is responsible for direct business sales in Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties. She earned a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from St. John's University in New York City.

Phillip Nelson has joined the law firm of Wood and Crist as an associate. The firm's partners are J. Emory Wood, Charles Crist Jr., Stephen Barnes, David Fernandez and Phillip Nelson.

Anthony Scarpo has moved his diamond import and jewelry design company, Anthony Louis Ltd., and his mortgage company, First Trust Mortgage and Finance, to the first floor of Park Tower, 400 Tampa St.

Michael Fitzgerald has joined Dean Witter as an account executive. He earned a bachelor's degree from Regis University in Denver.
