TONIGHT: LIGHTNING AT KINGS

THE LOWDOWN: The Lightning is 7-2-0 against the Kings. Tampa Bay won at home and away last season and is 5-0 in Los Angeles. The Kings are coming off a 3-1-1 road trip, including a 3-1 victory over the Lightning Oct. 26 _ the day general manager Phil Esposito fired Terry Crisp and named Rick Paterson interim head coach. Kings goalie Stephane Fiset had 36 saves Tuesday in his 11th career shutout, 3-0 at New Jersey that ended the Devils' three-game winning streak. Glen Murray had two goals and L.A. won despite being outshot 36-21. Murray _ acquired from Pittsburgh in March _ has 11 points, including seven on the five-game trip. This is the first in a six-game homestand for the Kings. Lightning LW Troy Mallette (herniated discs, neck) is out. D David Shaw (back spasms) is questionable. Kings C Ray Ferraro (torn cartilage, left knee) has played in only three games and is out tonight. He has been cleared to practice wearing a brace, but still may have surgery.
