Man intervenes in dispute, is stabbed

A 21-year-old man was in critical but stable condition after being stabbed in the chest Thursday afternoon. Sheriff's detectives had a suspect but had not found him Thursday night. The victim, Timothy Kelly of Market Street, was stabbed when he intervened in an argument between the suspect and a third man, said Sheriff's Office spokesman Jon Powers. Powers, noting that Kelly's assailant was at large, would not say which hospital was treating Kelly.

An Oct. 26 story resulted in confusion about the identity of a landlord who owns a condemned house in Jasmine Lakes. The Times article and most public records identified the owner as Bill Jackson. His full name is William P. Jackson, and he lists his address as a Holiday post office box. Another Pasco rental property owner, William E. Jackson of Cessna Drive, also goes by "Bill." He is not the owner of the condemned house.

Sylvia Price, who will lead activities of the Beacon Woods Travel Club for the coming year, can be reached at 863-3087. A wrong phone number was listed in the "West Pasco" column Oct. 4. The season's first motor-coach trip will be Saturday, to Cypress Gardens.
