About 600 residents are expected to turn out for the second annual Countryway neighborhood party hosted by Bill and Mary Christie, editors of the community's newsletter.
The Christies finance the party mainly with money the newsletter makes from advertising sales. They expect it will cost about $2,000 this year.
Their employer, Tam-Bay Realty, also contributes a small amount.
"We think it's a good way to get the neighbors together and to help us meet each other," said Mary Christie.
Along with the hot dogs and potato salad, the party will offer music, clowns and a moon walk. There will also be a race car and fire truck on display.
The party will be Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Countryway tennis courts and playground.
