RH34 _ robotic humanoid 34 _ will greet visitors to the new Santa Claus Adventure at Macy's in New York this holiday season. The 6,000-square-foot, high-tech display replaces the traditional Santa's Village, which had drawn hundreds of thousands of tourists and shoppers for 20 years. The new display, which opens Nov. 28, features a train with bells, whistles, steam and a rumbling floor. Kids wander through an animated forest with a chattering tree and an "interactive patisserie," where they can pull levers and watch sweets being made. And yes, amid the high-tech gadgetry, there still is a regular Santa Claus.
