What changes is the Florida Legislature making in its current session to the laws that affect condos, co-ops and homeowner associations?
Tampa Bay area legislators will explain what's new at a breakfast May 7 sponsored by the Suncoast Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. The breakfast, which is open to the public, will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Mirage Room at Tucson's in the ICOT Business Plaza on Ulmerton Road in Clearwater.
CAI is a non-profit organization that provides information and education to unit owners, residents and managers of condos, homeowner associations and co-ops.
The program is called "State of Florida Legislative Developments as They Impact Your Community Association."
The cost is $10 for members, $12 for non-members, and includes a full breakfast, the legislative forum, and a question and answer session. Preregistration is required. Call the Suncoast Chapter of CAI at (813) 532-0042.
The June Member's Forum and Breakfast Meeting is scheduled from 8:30 to 10 a.m. June 11, also at Tucson's. The program is '"Planting for the Future _ How to Save Money Today on Your Community Association's Common Grounds, Container Plantings and Greenspaces Using Native Plants and Xeriscaping." Speakers include representatives from the Florida Yards and Gardens Program. Preregistration is required: $10 for members, $12 for non-members, including full breakfast, the program, reference materials and question-and-answer session.
