Free fishing clinic is Friday at church

Fishing guide Bud Andrews, recently inducted into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, will conduct a free fishing clinic at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Inverness First Baptist Church.

The clinic is being sponsored by the Baptist Men organization of the church. Andrews will offer information to all ages of fishermen, along with a display of fishing gear, informational video and books. For information, call 726-1252.

Religious education program offered to kindergarten through sixth grade, 9:45-10:50 a.m. Sunday, and seventh grade through high school, 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Care Connection, a four-hour respite program for those with early stage Alzheimer's and memory loss, has openings for clients. The program is from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Family night supper, 4:45 p.m., Life Development Institute, 6 p.m., Youth Wednesday Night Live, 6 p.m., GAs, RAs and Mission Friends, 6:30 p.m., drama, 7:30 p.m., and Life Development Institute courses, 6 p.m. Wednesday; and Teamkid, 5:45 Sunday. Two sixth-graders from the church recently represented the Alachua Baptist Association at the Florida Baptist State Bible Drill Competition.
