Wharton assistant Andy Martin has been named coach at Leto, Falcons athletic director Lou Diaz said Friday.
Martin, 35, coached defensive backs and special teams at Wharton. He's a ninth-year assistant in Hillsborough County, also working at Gaither and Tampa Bay Tech. He replaces Alex Albert, who resigned to coach at new school Riverview, which opens this fall.
"Andy will keep the continuity in the program," Diaz said. "Our kids will respond to him. He's very personable, hard-working and will do a great job for us."
Spring football practice begins Friday.
