Walkers head out from the University of Tampa's Plant Park on Saturday morning to participate in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica. Local organizers expected about 3,000 people, and many of them were given sunflowers. Taylor Coleman, 1{, left, was one of the lucky ones. A flower was placed on his stroller while he and his mother waited for the walk to begin. The March of Dimes, meanwhile, expected about 1-million participants nationwide. The event is held to raise money for the fight against birth defects and infant mortality.
