Answer: Alex Trebek was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, on July 22, 1940. After living in the United States since 1974, Trebek became a citizen in 1997.

"It didn't really change my life at all when it occurred," Trebek told an Associated Press reporter in November. "However, a couple of weeks after being sworn in, I received a lovely letter from the Los Angeles Superior Court informing me that I had just been selected at random from 2{-million people to serve jury duty."

Trebek has been hosting Jeopardy! since 1984.
