Three teens were shot Tuesday night in a fight between rival gangs in the Meadowlawn neighborhood in northern St. Petersburg.
One was shot in the back, one in the shoulder and the other in the foot, but the wounds were not life-threatening, authorities said. The youths were being treated at Bayfront Medical Center.
St. Petersburg police arrested two juveniles and were questioning others.
The two arrested were charged with obstructing an investigation, and the charges may be upgraded to attempted murder, police spokesman Bill Doniel said.
Police seized a semiautomatic rifle and a Chinese version of an AK-47 thought to have been used in the 8:30 shootings at 7130 Meadowlawn Drive.
Doniel said three or four gang members went to the house with baseball bats to confront about 15 teens. After the shooting, the wounded youths were driven to 1547 34th Ave. N, where an ambulance was called.
The youths' names weren't released.
Neighbors called police after hearing several gunshots. Investigators found at least 10 bullet casings in the street and various yards.
