With the arrival of spring, many plants in the native plant area at the Pinellas County Cooperative Extension Service are blossoming. The extension service, at 12175 125th St. N in Largo, also features a Xeric zone, where plants get an occasional watering, and an oasis zone, for plants that need frequent watering. The plants in the native zone get by on rainwater only. The extension service is open weekdays and can field questions from home gardeners. The telephone number is 582-2110.
