PERSONAL/CAREER GROWTH FOR WOMEN: The Resource Center for Women of Pinellas and Pasco is a non-profit agency that has helped thousands of women become self-sufficient, emotionally strong and financially secure. The agency will begin a series on personal growth and career development for women going through changes in their lives, including those who are separated, divorced or widowed, single mothers, "displaced homemakers" and women with disabled spouses or those who have been abused. The program, to begin Monday at center locations in St. Petersburg, Largo and Tarpon Springs, will offer guidance in self-esteem, stress management, parenting, financial planning, career exploration and job searches. + YOGA WORKSHOP: Jan Campbell, a certified Iyengar yoga teacher who has just returned from a trip India, where she studied with the Iyengars at the Yoga Institute, will conduct a workshop May 8-10 at the Yoga Energy Center in St. Petersburg. Campbell, who has taught yoga for 12 years, received her training at the Iyengar Institute in San Francisco. This program will be for students of all levels and will offer thorough instruction on various yoga "poses," including the physical posture as well as the theory behind it. Sessions will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 8, 9 a.m.-noon and 3-5 p.m. May 9, and 9-11:30 a.m. May 10. Fee for all sessions is $125. Some sessions may be open for attendance on an individual basis, once registration for full-time attendees has been determined. (Fee for individual sessions will be prorated hourly.) + "POSITIVE POETRY" WORKSHOP: Positive Expressions, a non-profit art gallery that assists people with HIV or AIDS, will offer a workshop Sunday at Borders (books and music store) in Carrollwood (Tampa). The workshop aims to give people living with AIDS/HIV an opportunity to nurture their creative processes through the writing of poetry.
