Island Community Theatre Inc. is holding auditions for its first performance, a patriotic variety show scheduled for June.
Members of the new community theater troupe are looking for volunteer singers, dancers, actors and comedians to take part in their "Red, White and Blue Island Revue."
Auditions will be at the City Hall auditorium, 120 108th Ave., from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 22 and 6 to 9 p.m. May 23.
The auditions are open to the public. Performers do not have to be Treasure Island residents.
"We're looking for all kinds of talent and all ages," said Bob Dowling, founder of the performing arts guild.
Performers need to bring resumes or biographies to the auditions and any music sheets or tapes required for their programs. Each audition should last three to five minutes, Dowling said.
"We are looking for 20 or more people to perform in the family-oriented variety show," he said.
The show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. June 13 at Treasure Island Community Center, One Park Place. A matinee is planned for 2 p.m. June 14.
The guild also is looking for ushers, stagehands and other volunteers for the performances.

Island Community Theatre Inc. was formed this year by Dowling and a group of residents interested in promoting the arts in Treasure Island.
The group meets at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the chamber of commerce, 152 108th Ave.
Anyone interested in serving on the board of directors of the new guild should attend one of the weekly meetings, Dowling said.
