All in a day's work

In a busy morning nabbing speeding drivers, St. Petersburg police Officer Mike Jockers sets his sights on a truck reflected in the lens of his speed detector Wednesday on 62nd Avenue N in St. Petersburg. With Jockers on the detector and six officers stopping drivers, the officers wrote more than 100 speeding tickets _ an entire book of tickets _ before noon. "It was busy during rush hour in the morning, tapered off and then picked up again toward noon," Jockers said. "We had the first one (speeder) in 30 seconds after setting up."
