Investigators release sketch of robbery suspect

Authorities are seeking the public's help in catching a man suspected of at least three armed robberies in Pasco County since early April. Investigators think he is responsible for robbing the Farm Store in Holiday on April 4, Pier One Imports in Port Richey on April 8 and the South Beach Tanning salon in New Port Richey on April 15. The man also might be a suspect in other armed robberies in southern Hernando and northern Pinellas counties, said Sgt. Kerry O'Connor of the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office released two composite sketches of the man Tuesday, drawn from the accounts of different witnesses. He is described as a white man in his late-20s to mid-30s, 5 feet 9 to 6 feet tall, 160 to 180 pounds, with a thin build, tan complexion and curly brown hair. The man carried a chrome, semi-automatic handgun and has been seen wearing a baseball cap, jeans, white sneakers and a plaid flannel shirt. Authorities are asking anyone with information to call sheriff's Detective James Law at (813) 847-5878, ext. 7279, or New Port Richey police Cpl. James Astuto at (813) 816-1130.
