Ray Stanage saws on a live oak Thursday. A-1 United Tree Experts was hired by the county to remove seven live oaks near the entrance to the Citrus County Sheriff's operations center on Park Avenue in downtown Inverness. The trees are reportedly on soft ground and are leaning. "They're starting to go bad," said job supervisor Gil Stanage, who is Ray Stanage's father and partner. "They're trying to avoid future damage to the building." A crane is scheduled to remove the stumps this morning.
