A memorial golf tournament named for Jeffrey Tackett, a Belleair police officer killed in the line of duty in 1993, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Lansbrook Golf Club.
There is a $75 entry fee for each golfer in the four-person, best ball scramble. Included in the price are 18 holes with electric cart and dinner. Trophies will be awarded.
Sponsored by the Pinellas County Police Benevolent Association, the tournament will be at 4605 Village Center Drive in Palm Harbor.
The PBA says it will distribute proceeds from the tournament to children of law enforcement officers in Pinellas County.
To sign up, call Largo police Officer Butch Ward at 587-6730.
