A 20-year-old St. Petersburg man has been arrested in connection with a shootout in the Meadowlawn neighborhood where an AK-47 was used.
Craig Steven Young, 7566 21st St. N, was charged with three counts of attempted homicide for his participation in Tuesday night's shooting. Young knowingly and willingly drove the shooter from the scene, according to arrest papers filed by St. Petersburg police. He was being held in the Pinellas County Jail without bond.
Three teenagers were shot in what police say was a fight between rival gang members. By Sunday all three had been released from Bayfront Medical Center.
Police also arrested Michael McKeever, 17, who lives at 7130 Meadowlawn Drive, where the shooting began. McKeever, a suspect in the fight, assaulted a teenager and obstructed the investigation by trying to hide the rifle in his house, police said.
Police were still searching for another suspect, Tuan Do, 20.
