GILCHRIST, JAMES WALTER, 73, of Spring Hill, died Saturday (May 2, 1998) at home. Born in Woonsocket, R.I., he came here 28 years ago from North Providence, R.I., and was retired from the Navy. He was an automotive repair manager for Kmart in Spring Hill and was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and VFW Post 10209, Spring Hill, and the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 291, New Port Richey. Survivors include his wife, Florence; three sons, John, Pawtucket, R.I., Thomas, Manchester, N.H., and James Jr., California; two daughters, Cynthia Nicolini and Brenda Rodriguez, both of Spring Hill; a brother, John, Northbridge, Mass.; a sister, Ellen Collins, Worcester, Mass.; and four grandchildren. MASON, MARGARET L., 78, of Crystal River, died Friday (May 1, 1998) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital. She came here 20 years ago from her native Rochester, N.Y., where she was retired from the Gleason Works. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Christian Women's Club, Crystal River Women's Club, Nefertiti Court 84 Ladies Oriental Shrine and Chapter 319 OES, Homosassa Springs. She was past royal matron of Crystal River Court 48 Order of the Amaranth and past worthy high priestess of Guiding Star 28 White Shrine of Jerusalem.
