YOSHIKO OZAWA, Berkeley Prep girls basketball: She scored a game-high 27 points in the Buccaneers'54-50 win over Plant in the opening game of the Berkeley Holiday Tournament. Ozawa added 12 more in a 33-19 loss to Gulf in the championship game.

SEPTEMBER HARRISON, Tampa Catholic girls basketball: She was selected MVP for the Tampa Catholic Christmas Tournament. She scored 24 points in an 84-24 win over Miami Killian. In the 45-42 win over Winter Haven in the final, she had 10 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.

ANDRE CORBITT, Tampa Bay Tech boys basketball: He was high-point man in the Titans 90-38 win over Riverview in the opening game of the Chamberlain Holiday Tournament. Corbitt scored 35 points, made two blocks and three rebounds and recorded nine assists in the game.

CHRIS CHRISTIE, Wharton boys basketball: He helped his team remain undefeated at 6-0 as high scorer (22 points) in the Wildcats' opening 56-45 win over Pinellas Park in the Hooters Holiday Shootout.
