Trout season opens today south of the Pinellas-Pasco county line. The slot limit is 15-20 inches. Anglers can keep five fish per day, one of which may be longer than the legal size limit. Trout season closes Feb. 1 in the northwest region of the state, which is defined as all waters north and west of the Pinellas-Pasco line. The slot limit in that region is 15-24 inches. The bag limit is seven fish per person per day.
