Teen shoots store clerk in neck

A store clerk was shot in the neck after he tried to stop four teenagers from stealing four 12-packs of beer Thursday night, police said.

The 20-year-old clerk at Sunrise Market at 104 W Woodlawn was listed in fair condition late Thursday at Tampa General Hospital.

Police said one of the four males, described by witnesses as teens, used a chrome revolver wrapped in a red bandana to shoot the clerk after he tried to stop them from stealing Budweiser and Heineken beer about 6:30 p.m.

All four teens remained at large Thursday night.
