SW MISSOURI 79, SAINT LOUIS 67: Kevin Ault and Eric Bruton each had 17 points as visiting Southwest Missouri State won its ninth in 10 games.

Despite shooting 65 percent in the first half, the Billikens trailed 42-31 at the half after the Bearcats closed with a 9-0 run.

Saint Louis got within 62-61 after three free throws by Dave Fergerson, who had 17 points, with just over eight minutes remaining. But the Billikens went more than four minutes without scoring until Justin Love made a layup to cut the lead to 70-63.

A crowd of 14,915 was announced, but about 4,100 people actually attended because of a severe winter storm that blanketed St. Louis with up to 7 inches of snow and ice.
