Three people were charged Sunday with stealing drugs from an animal hospital.
William Michael Maddox, 18, and Joshua Daniel Mabry, 20, both of Brooksville, and Austin Michael Tinley, 23, of Largo, entered East Bay Animal Hospital on East Bay Drive through an unlocked door early Sunday, according to Largo police.
The drugs stolen were Ketamine, a tranquilizer that can produce hallucinations and is known on the street as K, Special K, Super K, Kit Kat and Vitamin K; Diazepam, a muscle relaxer used for anxiety, insomnia and seizures; and a euthanasia solution for dogs.
Maddox and Mabry injected themselves with the euthanasia solution before they were arrested and had to be taken to the Largo Medical Center for observation, according to reports.
Maddox, Mabry and Tinley were charged with burglary, grand theft and possession of a controlled substance.
