Animal advisory committee invites public to meeting

The Animal Advisory Committee will meet from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Wednesday in the County Center Conference Room, 26th floor, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., in downtown Tampa. The committee, composed of veterinarians and other county residents concerned with the welfare of companion animals, is working on changes to the county's animal ordinance. The topic will be fees and fines related to the draft ordinance. The public is invited to attend. There will be speakers and 30 minutes for public comment. The most recent draft of the ordinance is available at the county's Communications Department, 1st Floor, County Center, and at Animal Services, 440 Falkenburg Road.
