TONIGHT: LIGHTNING AT MAPLE LEAFS

WHEN/WHERE: 7:35; Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto.

TV/RADIO: Sunshine; WDAE-AM 1250, WLVU-AM 1470.

THE LOWDOWN: The Lightning makes its final trip to the legendary Maple Leaf Gardens, which is closing next month. When the Lightning goes back to Toronto in March, the Leafs will be playing in the Air Canada Centre. A victory would give the Lightning a winning record at Maple Leaf Gardens. Tampa Bay is 5-5 there, including 4-1 in the past five meetings. The Lightning, though, is struggling. It has lost four of its past five but only given up 12 goals in those four losses, and one of those was an empty-netter. Wendel Clark, who leads the Lightning with 18 goals, had a hat trick in the most recent game, a 4-3 loss to Carolina on Wednesday. This is the first of a four-game road trip. Toronto is coming off a 5-2 loss to Washington on Saturday at Maple Leaf Gardens. This is the first of four meetings this season. Toronto won both meetings last season and leads the series 12-6.
