BINKERD, WILLIAM GEORGE, 62, of Homosassa Springs, died Tuesday (June 8, 1999) at Seven Rivers Hospital. Born in Millers Eddy, Pa., he came here 10 years ago from New Bethlehem, Pa., and was a retired forklift operator. He was Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two daughters, Terri Crissman, Summerville, Pa., and Kitty Barker, Bayonet Point; a son, Christopher, Homosassa Springs; and four grandchildren. BORDOW, CARRIE, 86, of Beverly Hills, died Monday (June 7, 1999). Born in West Virginia, she came here five years ago from Heber Springs, Ark., and was an insurance clerk. She was Protestant. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and twice past president of the Heber Springs Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include three sons, James B. Sheppard, Crystal River, Stanley Rex Sheppard, Citrus Hills, and Robert Mead Sheppard, California; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Fero Funeral Home with Crematory, Beverly Hills.

CHECHOPOULOS, JAMES, 85, of Spring Hill, died Sunday (June 6, 1999) at home. He came here 20 years ago from his native Chicago, where he was a retired industrial engineer for Lowry Organ Co. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, New Port Richey. Survivors include his wife, Helen; three sons, George, Tacoma, Wash., Peter, Chicago, and Michael, Atlanta; four brothers, Spiro, San Francisco, Steve, Greece, and Louis and Paul, both of Chicago; and a grandchild. FREIHEIT, MARGUERITE S., 89, of Beverly Hills, died Monday (June 7, 1999) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Born in Orfordville, Wis., she came here 14 years ago from Milton, Wis. She was Lutheran. Survivors include two sons, James, Beverly Hills, and Robert, Benbrook, Texas; a brother, Donald Lundt, South Carolina; three sisters, Mildred Clarke and Blanche Hendee, both of Beverly Hills, and Joan Hilton, Littleton, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. HEAD, DAVID R., 42, of Brooksville, died Wednesday (June 9, 1999). He was a lifelong resident of Brooksville. He was Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Francis Head, Palm Beach; his father, David M., Homosassa; his mother, Doris L. HOGAN, CATHERINE E., 88, of Beverly Hills, died Tuesday (June 8, 1999). Born in Rochdale, Mass., she came here 16 years ago from West Roxbury, Mass. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills, and AARP. LAMB, WILLIAM A., 82, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (June 8, 1999) at home. Born in Boston, he came here 20 years ago from Derry, N.H. He was a retired boilermaker for Boston Naval Shipyard and an Army veteran of World War II. He was Episcopalian. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 10209 and NARFE Spring Hill Chapter. Survivors include his wife, Stella; a son, Stephen Thomas, Leola, Pa.; a daughter, Karen Ann Nilsson, Pemberton, N.J.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. POLITE, RUTH M., 82, of Spring Hill, died Sunday (June 6, 1999) at the Arbors at Bayonet Point, Hudson. Born in New York, she came here eight years ago from New York and was a homemaker.
