The Tampa office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, has announced that Mary Li Creasy has become Of Counsel to the firm. C. Graham Carothers Jr. has also joined the firm as an associate.

Town "N Country Hospital, 6001 Webb Road, a 201-bed acute care facility owned and operated by Tenet HealthSystems, recently elected new medical staff officers. The new officers include: Dr. Laurence Neufeld, chief of staff; Dr. Miloslava Mician, vice chief of staff; Dr. Edward Braun, chief of family practice/medicine; Dr. Joel Laborde, vice chief of family practice/medicine; Dr. Jorge Inga, chief of surgery; and Dr. Peter McKernan, vice chief of surgery. Newly appointed medical directors include: Dr. Helene Harper, emergency department; Dr. James Quigley, radiology; and Stephen Vanasco, D.O., anesthesia. Dr. Paul Boggio was appointed treasurer and medical director of the laboratory.

Donald A. Gifford of Shackleford, Farrior, Stallings & Evans, P.A., was reappointed to a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of The Florida Bar Foundation Inc. Gifford currently serves as vice-chair of the Administration of Justice Committee and is a member of the Budget Committee.

Mathew J. Horridge, a longtime Tampa Tribune reporter and former Holland & Knight LLP marketing materials manager, has formed Good Ink Inc. The firm offers seminars in writing and media coaching. They also provide writing and editing services to professional firms.

Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union has formed a Credit Union Service Organization, First Access Service Team Inc., to offer specialized training and management services to credit unions in the Tampa area. First Access will also offer insurance and investments services. Edward W. Hamp Jr., vice president of Tampa Bay FCU, will also serve as president and CEO of First Access.

The CourtYards, 255 CourtYards Blvd., at Sun City Center Assisted Living Community now offers a Respite Care Program for seniors. The program is available for a minimum stay of two weeks and a maximum of three months. The program offers accommodations in a fully furnished apartment; assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and toileting; supervision or administration of medication; assistance with transferring and ambulating; three meals per day; and personal laundry and housekeeping services. Matt Stone Inc., a Florida based producer of decorative concrete products, patio stones, lawn edging, interlocking pavers and retaining walls, has acquired Atlanta Cast Stone Inc. Stone has also contracted to build a new manufacturing facility in St. Lucie County.

Gregory Firestone, director of the University of South Florida's Mediation Institute, has been elected to the Academy of Family Mediators Board of Directors. The board oversees an international membership organization of more than 3,500 family mediators.

Deborah Jones, formerly marketing manager for the Tampa division of Morrison Homes, has been named marketing services coordinator for the Tampa and Orlando operations of TerraBrook. Jones will oversee marketing, public relations, advertising and promotional duties in Florida. She also manages marketing budgets, coordinates special events and helps welcome-center staffs. Jones earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill.

Laura Kalman was named traffic manager/production coordinator at Walker Design Group, an 11-member graphic design and advertising firm in Tampa. In her new position, Kalman will schedule, coordinate and track all creative projects for the firm. Formerly, Kalman was print production/traffic manager for Hallmark/Tassone in Orlando.

Vin Wells was named marketing representative at Highwoods Properties Inc. Wells joins a team of representatives responsible for marketing and leasing more than 5.2-million square feet of space the company owns.

Olga M. Pina, a shareholder with the law firm of Fowler, White, Gillen, Boggs, Villareal and Banker, P.A., has been elected to the board of directors of the Spanish Lyric Theatre. Pina has extensive experience in international transactions and international trade.
