"They'll say, "If everybody had stuck together.' So, in other words, if one person jumps off the bridge, everybody should jump off the bridge. That's the Jonestown philosophy. Everybody drinks the Kool-Aid."

Question of the day
Who was the only player to lead his league in batting, slugging percentage and on-base percentage six straight seasons?
The Cardinals' Rogers Hornsby led the National League in all three categories every season from 1920-25.
A NEW GAME: John Elway plays catch with Marshall T. Leeds, president of JWGenesis Financial Corp., who with chief operating officer Joel E. Marks announced an Internet venture focusing on health, fitness and financial planning.
Two holes in two
When Donna Lesser scored a hole-in-one on No. 7 at Waccabuc Country Club in Lewisboro, N.Y., match-play opponent Buffy Ogden figured she wouldn't bother to tee up.
"She said, "Oh, I don't have to hit now,' " Lesser said. "And I said, "Of course you do. It could go in the hole.' "
Which it did, for back-to-back holes-in-one by amateurs on the same hole _ a feat so rare, the National Hole-in-One Association doesn't keep statistics.
